I built The Blooming Desk from a simple desire: to create a beautiful space where people could connect, collaborate, and feel inspired in Salem, Oregon. Today, it’s become a thriving event space, boutique pop-up, and community gathering place that continues to grow alongside the people who walk through its doors.
Our Story
The Blooming Desk began as a dream to create a space where people could connect, create, and feel inspired. After years of working from home in the marketing world, I fell in love with the idea of coworking and the community it fostered. When the chance came to open my own space, I ran toward it with excitement.
But as the doors opened, the community spoke clearly: what people truly wanted wasn’t coworking—it was events. Gatherings, workshops, celebrations, and spaces to meet others who share their passions. So The Blooming Desk evolved, shifting toward what it was always meant to be: a vibrant event space built for connection.
Today, The Blooming Desk hosts everything from office gatherings to parties and workshops, with five private offices available for those who need a dedicated workspace. And on Thursdays and Fridays, the space comes alive as Petal & Thread, a boutique and flower bar that brings beauty and creativity into the mall.
This journey hasn’t been linear, but it’s been meaningful. The heart behind The Blooming Desk remains the same: to offer a place where people and ideas can bloom.
